Understanding Happiness

“Happiness comes from within” is not just a comforting phrase but a profound truth. This short course invites participants to see that lasting peace and fulfilment don’t come from fixing the outer world, but from awakening to the stillness within.

About the Program

Everyone wants to be happy. It's as simple as that. We want to enjoy life and we want to be free from suffering. However, most people spend their life trying to acquire happiness, but do very little to truely understand it. Understanding Happiness is an opportunity for participants to not only learn about happiness, but to also reflect on and understand their personal circumstances with more clarity. By enhancing their awareness in theses ways, participants are able to be more conscious in their decision making moving forward.

THIS PROGRAM EXPLORES:

1. Two Types of Happiness

There are two types of happiness; happiness that we acquire from things outside of us, and innate happiness, which is happiness that comes from within. However, acquired happiness is temporary and will always eventually leave you feeling like your cup is only partially full. In this session, we will explore your personal relationship with happiness, and why it remains elusive.

2. Being Human

Our early life experiences and the environment in which we were raised played a significant role in the formation of our brains. How we expeirenced these

3. The Search for Happiness

Power, status, acceptance, and achievement are the four benchmarks that we perceive give us more value in this world. When we have them we are happy, when we don't have them, we aren't. In this session we will explore your personal relationship with each one.

4. Unhappiness: The Fragile Nature of Acquired Happiness

In this session you will learn about the three things that will always trump acquired happiness. And when these three things strip away your progress, the question becomes, what are you left with?

5. The Crossroad: Four Options for Moving Beyond Unhappiness

Each time you find yourself in an unhappy reality, there are four pathways available to you. In this session we will explore each of these four options so that you may recognise them and make more informed decisions moving forward.
